SOUTH FLORIDA DOLPHIN CHALLENGE
The SOUTH FLORIDA DOLPHIN CHALLENGE is a three month long tournament (April 1- June 30) with a one day fish-off between the top twenty anglers with the heaviest fish at the end of the qualifying period.
Entry fee is $100 per angler, You may enter at any time. Entry form must be postmarked at least two days prior to weighing fish. The great thing about this tournament is you do not have to catch the heaviest to win, just be in the top twenty at the end of the qualifying period. Also, there is not the stress and pressure of catching the heaviest fish in one day, you have 91 days to catch a qualifying fish and you never know when that will be. Every year, there is one or two anglers that procrastinates sending in their entry form and catches a slob dolphin that easily would have qualified, had they registered in a timely manner. My advice is, if you plan on fishing any time during April, May or June, register early and get it out of the way. The official weigh stations are: Lauderdale Marina and Lighthouse Point Marina. All weigh stations are open 7 days. The RULES are very simple. Download and print the ENTRY FORM Check to see the list of REGISTERED ANGLERS
